- Red Flash: very large leaves and showy. These are the last Caladiums to come up, but produce well through a variety of growing conditions. Prefer morning and filtered sun. If irrigated stand up to sun, harsh conditions. # 1 size for large foliage.
- White Christmas very large leaves and showy as well. Stand up well to Texas heat and create a cool feeling. Shimmer at night in moonlight or with low intensity lighting. Work well in a variety of settings whether in clusters with other plants or dedicated to an area. #1 size .
Pink: Carolyn Wharton
A showy pink that can stand up to some sun. Intense pink with small red veins and green. Large leaves. The Carolyn Whartons produce large full plants that are quite showy against evergreens. Has produced longer than some of the blush pink and lighter pink varieties. # 1 size.
- Miss Muffet variety stands up well to Texas heat. For smaller foliage for borders, we order #2 variety rather than #1 variety in the larger foliage. Usually early to come up, but depending on location may be finished by the end of September especially if in more sun. Lime colored with maroon to cranberry spots. Adds a striking color contrast in your garden.
Smaller foliage is great for borders and looks great in groups where you want something lush but smaller than the larger, fancy leaf, non-strap varieties. Red with some green, straps also stand up in the sun, but will need irrigation during extremely dry spells, especially in the sun. Foliage is particularly slender and adds a different texture to your garden. # 2 size to get a smaller contrast. This is a new variety. Quantities are limited.

Pre-order before Halloween, because orders after October 31 are filled first come first serve. For the past six years we ran out of some varieties within the first week of arrival and could not fill orders or had to substitute colors because open stock quantities are limited.
To see why we say "lasting summer color" see pictures in a variety of harsh growing conditions including drought, heavy rain and high heat, humidity, low rain. We've been documenting some extreme and historical weather extremes, click here for the "rest of the story."
Since our grower cannot guarantee his crop, variety substitutions of a color are occasionally required.
