Many Saturday night parties and too many cars made some of the night photos difficult to shoot. Quail Valley is so welcoming this year . . .drive around and discover why the judges had so much trouble choosing!
This year we selected homes in categories those depicting Hope, Joy & Faith. Jackie Walker heads this committee, and has 3 volunteers who take a segment of Quail Valley and choose homes that stand out. They then compare and choose the winners . . . which is really our entire festive neighborhood!
Hope . . . lights that give us hope for the future and tie in our traditions of the past.
Winner: Sue and Dave Adam, 2911 Nancy Bell Lane
Sue, Dave and Committee Chair Jackie Walker
As President and photographer for this event Janice Scanlan was taking this picture, a person viewing lights (who doesn't live on this street) stopped to comment how beautiful this home was on a cul-de-sac of pretty lights off El Dorado.
Joy . . . as seen through a child's eyes with toys, fantasy, and good cheer.
Winner: Gayle and Mike Combs, 3119 Stoney Brook (off East Creek Club)
Jackie presents the certificate of appreciation to Mike, Gayle and David (who does the work and was blowing leaves when we appeared).
Faith . . . those displays depicting the original Christmas story or tie into the origins of it.
Winners: Jane and Bob Thompson, 3214 El Dorado
Jane was at a Christmas party, as Bob, pictured with Jackie, tells us she loves to decorate for Christmas.
